I mean…
All you need for freelance copywriting nirvana is a couple of solid $3k-$5k/month retainers.
So who cares if they’re not in the exact same niche?
And don’t talk to me about ‘client security’ either.
Sure -
Being the #1 [insert niche] copywriter means biz owners in that niche (both good and bad…) will always be looking to work with you.
(Which = client/work security = financial security)
But I’d rather derive security in my copywriting business through a repeatable client-getting process.
One that I can use any day, any time, to great effect.
Take one of my students, Michael.
He’s got a $3k/month retainer with a 7-figure client in the ‘online marketing’ world.
And, he’s using the flaming camel to branch out to the relationship and ‘personal growth’ fields to mix things up and keep it interesting.
As a result -
He’s got a mini-celebrity marriage coach (who’s looking to star in their own TV show soon) AND a world-renowned hypnotherapist (who has coached high-performing CEOs like Russell Brunson) both keen to work with him.
